BREAD PUDDING | |
2 cups bread cubes 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tbsp. rum (optional) 2 1/4 cups milk 1/2 cup raisins 2 eggs, slightly beaten 1/2 cup nuts, chopped (optional) 2 tbsp. butter Combine all ingredients except for the butter. Mix together lightly. Transfer mixture to a greased quart size (or larger) casserole or baking dish. Dot with butter. Bake in a preheated 375°F oven for about 45 minutes, or until done. Serve plain, or warm, with vanilla ice cream or Cool Whip. Submitted by: CM |
