MELLO-FRUITY POUND CAKE 
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
2 sticks butter
3 c. sugar
3 c. plain flour
1 c. sweet milk
1/4 tsp. salt
6 eggs
1 tbsp. Superior Mello-Fruity flavoring

Heat oven to 325 degrees. Grease 10-inch tube pan and dust with flour. Cream all shortening together. Add sugar and salt gradually. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add milk and flour alternately to the above mixture. Take out 1 cup of the batter and add 1 tablespoon of Mello-Fruity flavoring.

Pour half of the batter in pan. Add the 1 cup you reserved with the flavoring, then add the other half of the batter. Swirl with a knife. Bake at 325 degrees about 1 1/2 hours or until done.
