STRAWBERRY (BISCUIT) SHORTCAKE | |
2 c. flour 4 tsp. baking powder 1 tbsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1/3 c. butter 3/4 c. milk 1 qt. ripe strawberries Sift together dry ingredients. Cut in butter and mix well. Sir in milk to form soft dough. Place on floured board and knead gently to form soft ball. Roll out 1/4 inch thick. Bake in oven 450 degrees for about 15 minutes. Cool, then cut in half. Place strawberries on half. Then place layer of Cool Whip. Put other half on top. Put Cool Whip on top. |
