1 c. coconut
1 c. pecans or walnuts
1 stick butter, melted
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 (1 lb.) powdered sugar
1 German chocolate cake mix

Butter a larger than average cake pan, 9"x13" will do. Mix 1 cup coconut and 1 cup nuts. Place on bottom of pan.

Mix and set aside melted butter, softened cream cheese and powdered sugar. Mix German chocolate cake mix, according to directions on box. Pour cake mix over coconut and nut mixture. Spoon cream cheese mixture over entire cake mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes, turning oven down to 200 degrees for 15 minutes.
