“BELLE'S MAC AND CHEESE” IS IN:

BELLE'S MAC AND CHEESE 
2 (16 oz. ea.) boxes elbow macaroni (I use Barilla)
1/3 cup melted butter
1 lb. longhorn Colby cheese, cubed
4 to 6 cups milk
butter for baking dish

Cook macaroni in boiling, salted water for about 6 minutes (not fully cooked). Drain.

In a buttered 4-quart baking dish, place layers of macaroni and cheese. Season to your taste with salt and pepper (you will need more salt if using unsalted butter).

Pour milk into one corner, pour melted butter over all.

Bake, uncovered, at 350°F for one hour or until browned and bubbly.

Belle - Thanks for sharing. This sounds exactly like my mother's recipe. She was known for her Macaroni & cheese. Can hardly wait to try this. She used canned evaporated milk (diluted) .. What type do you use?
