HUNGARIAN GOULASH 
1 1/2 lbs. cubed beef
1 lg. onion, diced
1 tbsp. shortening
Salt, pepper, paprika
Sm. can tomato sauce
1 c. hot water
2 med. potatoes
3 carrots

Brown beef in fat. Add salt, pepper, paprika and tomato sauce. Simmer 1 hour. Add hot water, potatoes, and carrots. Cook an additional 30 minutes.
