I made this recipe but changed a few things. I used one can of apples and no nutmeg. I used 2 sticks of butter. I put the ingredients in a large buttered pie pan. I was delicious!

Turned out pretty good. WAY TOO MUCH nutmeg though!! If you use any, I say 1/2 a teaspoon, unless you like the strong taste of it, and 1 1/2 is way too strong. Also, three sticks of butter is too much, two is all you need. I may try it with three cans of apples though, two cans spread pretty thin in the pan. I would make it again, but change those things.

This recipe is sooo good! And super easy! I cut it in half (only used 1/4 tsp. cinnamon and no nutmeg tho) and used a 9-inch pie plate. I buttered the plate and followed the rest of the directions. It lasted all of about 10 minutes!

Thanks for sharing this easy, delicious, and healthy apple crisp recipe. I love how it has a short list of ingredients that are common in most households. The topping is so simple, but it adds such a nice flavor to the apples. This will definitely be one of my go-to desserts from now on.
