ENGLISH MUFFINS | |
2 pkgs. dry yeast 1 c. warm water 1 tsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 3 c. reg. flour Dissolve yeast in water. Add sugar and salt. Gradually add flour, making a stiff dough. Turn on floured board. Knead until smooth and elastic. Roll to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut with 3 inch cutter. Place on cookie sheet. Let rise 45 minutes. Bake at 425 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes until lightly browned. Split with fork when cool and serve with butter. |
