ENGLISH MUFFIN BREAD 
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. butter
1 c. warm water
1 pkg. active dry yeast
5 1/2 c. flour
Cornmeal

Scald milk; stir in sugar, salt and butter. Cool to lukewarm. Measure warm water into large bowl. Sprinkle in yeast; stir to dissolve. Stir in warm milk mixture; add 3 cups flour, beat until smooth. Add remaining flour to make soft dough. Turn onto floured board. Knead 2 minutes. Place in greased bowl. Cover; let rise 1 hour. Punch down; divide in half. Shape into 2 loaves. Roll each loaf in cornmeal. Place in loaf pans. Cover; let rise 1 hour. Bake in 400 degree oven for 25 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
