“SLOW COOKER ROAST PORK” IS IN:

SLOW COOKER ROAST PORK
1 pork loin roast (or your favorite cut)
1 pkg. dried onion soup mix (Lipton)
1 tbsp. fresh minced garlic or 1 tsp dried garlic powder
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. whole caraway seeds
1 cup water (approx)

Place roast in Crock-Pot. Add water, spices and soup mix. Cook 4 hours on medium-high for a 2 pound roast, and 1 additional hour per pound, up to approximately 8 hours.

As long as moisture remains in the pot, there is no danger of overcooking.

Potatoes, carrots may be added under the roast, if desired.

Delicious served with Yorkshire pudding and gravy made from the cooking liquid.

I am going to try this recipe tonight. Read a lot of great ideas and will make gravy with it, besides the carrots and potatoes. Wish me luck on it.

I am trying this recipe today. I am using 2 pork loin roasts @ 1.25 & 1.46 #'s each. I will increase slightly the cook time. I used chopped dry onions; dried garlic powder; black pepper; caraway seeds (intriguing) and a combo of chicken stock and water. I will let you know the outcome.

Such a tasty and tender pork roast! I used a boneless roast and added about a Tablespoon of brown sugar for a little sweetness. Caraway seeds go wonderfully with pork roast (a "must" here Lol), and I imagine sauerkraut would be a fantastic addition!
