CHOCOLATE WAFFLES 
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 c. milk, add more if needed
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. flour
6 tbsp. cocoa or 2 oz. chocolate, melted
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar; add well beaten eggs. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt; add alternately with milk to butter-sugar-egg mixture. Stir in cocoa or melted chocolate. Add vanilla. Bake 2 minutes in hot waffle iron. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
