SAUERKRAUT BERROCKS (German) | |
2 lbs. hamburger 1 sm. head cabbage 2 c. sauerkraut 1 onion, chopped Salt and pepper to taste 2 loves frozen dough or you can make your own bread dough Let bread dough rise. Saute onions, hamburger and cabbage. Add sauerkraut and simmer about 15 minutes. Drain well and let cool. Roll out dough a little thicker than pie crust. Cut in 5 inch squares. Place cooked mixture in center. Pull corners to center and seal good. Cut slits in top for steam to escape. Put on greased cookie sheet. Let rise a little. Bake in (325 degree) oven for about 25 minutes or until nice and brown. After they are baked, spread butter on top. Makes about 24. They also freeze real well. |
