TEXAS HOT CAKE 
1/2 c. oil
1 cube butter
1 c. water
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
4 rounded tbsp. cocoa
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt and mix together on top of stove the oil, butter and water. Sift together flour, sugar, salt, soda, baking powder and cocoa. Stir melted ingredients into the dry mixture and mix well. Add eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Test with toothpick.

FROSTING:

3 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 box powdered sugar
3 tbsp. buttermilk
1/2 cube butter

Melt butter and buttermilk. Mix with sifted powdered sugar and cocoa. Frost cake directly from the oven.
