PEANUT BUTTER MELTAWAY COOKIES 
1 2/3 c. flour
1/3 c. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 lb. room temperature butter (1 stick)
1/3 c. chunky peanut butter
2/3 c. confectioners' sugar
1/3 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. milk
6 oz. chocolate candy kisses

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder and soda. Beat the 1/4 pound butter with the peanut butter. Add sugars and beat until fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Gradually beat in dry ingredients. Shape dough in 1 1/4 inch balls. Press a chocolate kiss, flat side down into each ball and press dough up sides of Kiss onto only point is visible. Put cookies on baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart. Bake until lightly browned at the edges and beginning to brown on top (about 10 minutes). Per cookie 109 calories; protein 2 g; fat 6 g; sodium 37 mg; carbohydrates 13 g; cholesterol 14 mg. Work time 40 minutes. Total time 1 hour.
