MARY'S APPLE DUMPLINGS
They are delicious and the hunters love them!

4 tart apples
2 cans Pillsbury Butterflake crescent rolls
1 cup (2 sticks) butter (no substitutes)
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 (12 oz.) can regular (green) Mountain Dew

Cut apples into 4 quarters, peel and core. Break apart crescent rolls and roll each apple in a crescent roll to make a dumpling. Lay dumplings in a 9x13-inch pan (glass pan works well).

Melt 2 sticks butter in microwave and then add sugar and cinnamon to it . Pour this mixture over dumplings. Pour 1 can of Mountain Dew around the edge of the dumplings.

Bake at 325°F for 45 to 50 minutes or until apples are done!

Taste great served with vanilla ice cream or milk poured over them this should make 16 dumplings!

Variation: Sometimes I mix the sugar and use half brown, half white or sometimes all brown!

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
