3 lb. lean spare ribs

Cut spare ribs into serving pieces. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and garlic powder. Place in a shallow baking pan. Roast at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Brush ribs with honey barbecue sauce. Continue to bake and baste ribs until they are tender and beautifully glazed, about 1 hour more.

HONEY BARBECUE SAUCE:

2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 c. honey
1/4 c. butter (1/2 stick)
1/2 c. ketchup
1 tbsp. vinegar
2 tsp. Dijon style mustard
1 tbsp. soy sauce
3 tbsp. brown sugar

Combine all ingredients in saucepan and simmer for 5 minutes. Store leftover sauce in the refrigerator. Makes approximately 1 1/2 cups of sauce.

Goes great on chicken also!

 Henry (France) says:
If you pre-boil ribs for 45 minutes, the oven or bbq cooking times are much shorter. 10 to 15 minutes. The meat is much more tender.
