ANNIE'S KIELBASA
2 lbs. kielbasa, sliced 1/4 inch rounds
1 lg. onion, yellow or sweet, sliced thinly
1 c. apple cider vinegar or flavored vinegar (white is fine)
1 c. dark brown sugar, packed

In covered skillet, mix vinegar and sugar. Heat on medium until sugar is melted. Add onions and kielbasa. Cook 15 minutes covered, stirring once or twice to coat all kielbasa. Cook uncovered 5-10 minutes more. Can be microwaved, oven cooked or stove top. Serve on platter or bowl with toothpicks. Serve over egg noodles for main course. Serves 6-8.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.

I LOVE this recipe!! I was never a big fan of kielbasa but in this delicious sauce, it's sooooo yummy & "comforting"! Serve it with a nice side of green beans & you'll be smiling afterward for sure!

I didn't really like this it was too sweet, we love kielbasa and wanted to try something new with it. But the sweetness and smell of vinegar overwhelmed the dish.

Absolutely fantastic. My bf and I were a little reluctant with the vinegar but decided to try it and we both loved it. We ate almost all of it for dinner.

I used red wine vinegar and it tasted so sweet. I would try with apple cider vinegar next time. I served with rice. It was so delicious. You can try with boiled potatoes or home fried potato with keilbasa.

I loved it! I didn't have any vinegar but found somewhere that lemon juice can be substituted. It turned out fantastic =]

This is pretty good. The vinegar scared me but it ended up tasting pretty good. Only complaint is the smell of vinegar (I'm not a big fan). Other then that the kielbasa is pretty tasty.

I absolutely do NOT like vinegar and was a little scared when my husband wanted to try this recipe. I do have to say that it was fantastic! I used the apple cider vinegar and the smell was pretty strong when I lifted the lid of the pan to stir the Kielbasa - but it didn't take like it smelled. We will definitely have this again.

I too was concerned about the vinegar and only used half of it and served over a bed of rice with green beans on the side. It was really good, we will make this again!
