BOILED MERINGUE FROSTING 
1 c. white or brown sugar
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/3 c. water
1 tbsp. light corn syrup

Bring to a boil and add to 1 unbeaten egg whites and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat until stiff. This makes about 2 cups frosting and will not crust over.

This worked GREAT! Easy peazy!!! You don't have to bring to a boil, though; just heat enough to disolve the sugar and syrup and slowly pour into the mixer on high.
