POTATO-HAMBURGER CASSEROLE 
3 c. potatoes
1 lb. hamburger
1 onion, chopped
1 sm. green pepper, chopped
1 can tomato soup
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. salt
Black pepper to taste

Slice potatoes and cook in water until almost done. Brown hamburger, onion and pepper in 3 tablespoons shortening. Add salt and pepper. Arrange hamburger mixture and potatoes alternately in large casserole dish. Pour tomato soup mixed with 1/2 cup water over this. Cover with foil and bake at 425 degrees for 45 minutes.
