PORK APPLE BAKE
8 loin pork chops, cut about 3/4" thick
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
1/2 c. apple juice
1/2 c. soy sauce
2 tbsp. cornstarch
3 tbsp. catsup
1/2 tsp. ginger

About 1 hour and 45 minutes before serving: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In shallow roasting pan, place pork chops in 1 layer. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake 1 hour, turning once.

Meanwhile, in small saucepan over medium heat, cook brown sugar, apple juice, soy sauce, cornstarch, catsup and ginger until thickened, stirring occasionally.

Pour sauce over chops. Bake 30 minutes more or until pork chops are fork tender, basting occasionally with sauce from pan. Makes 8 servings.
