OLLIE'S CORNBREAD DRESSING/STUFFING | |
In the recipe, I use juice from baked turkey in place of broth. PREPARE AHEAD: Cornbread - I use recipe on cornmeal box and double it. I use 1 cup yellow and 1 cup white cornmeal. 6 slices bread, dried and cut in small cubes. Crumble cornbread in large bowl and mix in bread cubes. Stir in following ingredients and mix thoroughly. 1/2 chopped bell pepper 1/2 chopped onion 1 tbsp. dried parsley 2 tbsp. poultry seasoning 1 1/2 tbsp. sage 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper Stir in following ingredients. 1 can cream of chicken soup 8 c. broth (or turkey juice or both) Mix thoroughly. Pour into greased pan and cook at 375 degrees until done, approximately 35-55 minutes. |
