NORWEGIAN KRINGLE | |
1 c. flour 1/2 c. butter 1 tbsp. water 1 c. water 1/2 c. butter 1 c. flour 3 eggs 1 tsp. almond flavoring Mix 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup butter and 1 tablespoon water together and pat on cookie sheet. Bring 1 cup water and 1/2 cup butter in a saucepan to boiling point. Add flour until smooth. Beat 1 egg at a time until smooth. Add almond flavoring. Spread on crust. Bake at 375 degrees for 30-45 minutes. Cool completely. Frost (drizzle or spread) with 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon butter, 1 tablespoon cream and 1/2 teaspoon almond flavoring, mixed well. Top with toasted almonds (optional). |
