NORWEGIAN KRINGLE | |
1/2 c. butter 1 c. flour 2 tbsp. water Mix like pie crust. Spread on cookie sheet in 3 strips (2 to 3 inches wide) as long as cookie sheet. 1 c. water 1/2 c. butter 1 c. flour 3 eggs 1/2 tsp. almond extract Heat and bring to boil, remove from heat and add flour. Stir until smooth and eggs (1 at a time) and blend add extract. Spread mixture on strips by spoonfuls. Bake 40 minutes at 375 degrees. 1 c. powdered sugar 1 tbsp. milk (or cream) 1 tbsp. butter 1 scant tsp. almond extract Mix these ingredients then when the kringle cools you can frost it with this mixture. |
