GARLIC PORK SPARERIBS 
3-4 lbs. pork spareribs
6 clove garlic
1 slice ginger root
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. each: anise, salt
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 c. soy sauce
2 tbsp. dry sherry

Place spareribs in flat shallow pan. Crush garlic and ginger root. Mix with remaining ingredients. Brush over spareribs. Cover. In refrigerator marinate 1 hour. Baste frequently. Bake in 400 degree F. oven 1 hour or until tender. Baste every 15 minutes. Serves 4. Prep time: 10 minutes. Carefree time: 1 hour, marinating 15 minute intervals of baking.
