MAGGIE'S CLAM CAKES 
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. of flour, sprinkle with Accent for flavor
2 lbs. of minced clams
2 lb. boxes unsalted crackers, ground up
6 to 8 eggs
1 bottle of clam juice

Mix together, keep some cracker crumbs to use in forming the clam cakes so they won't stick together. Fry in deep fat at about 300 degrees. Makes about 40 to 50 clam cakes, depending on the size.
