FRENCH - FRIED MUSHROOMS 
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
3 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 tsp. vegetable oil
1 1/2 tsp. water
32 lg. fresh mushrooms
1 1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs

Combine flour, salt, and pepper. Combine eggs, oil, and water mixing well. Clean mushrooms with damp paper towels. Dredge mushrooms in flour mixture, and dip in egg mixture; roll in bread crumbs. Refrigerate at least 1 1/2 hours. Deep fry mushrooms in hot oil (375 degrees) until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
