Delicious!! Used Basmati Rice and hot Italian sausage from Trader Joe's as it was handy. Added a handful of cooked, frozen shrimp and a half tablespoon Cajun seasoning. Will make again.

Thank you so much for sharing this! I have been making this recipe for years which I originally cut out of a magazine. Unfortunately, due to my habit of taking my recipes with me to the grocery store, I lost it and was afraid I wouldn't be able to find it again but this is definitely it!

This is good, and please don't sub a box mix for it.

I made this recipe with The turkey polska kielbasa sausage, I added two cans of 14 oz. diced tomatoes because my husband loves tomatoes, I drained all of the juices off and added eight drops of hot sauce it was really good! I made a cup of rice but I only use three quarters of a cup this was really good and quick and I will use this recipe again. Thank you!

This is totally delicious and easy to make. I use the regular long, grain rice that I cook in the microwave.

Substituted Zatarain's Red Beans & Rice for plain rice. Even my fussy husband commented how good it was! Quick, easy and delicious...what more could I ask?
Thanks for the recipe!

 Steve (Florida) replies:
Cindy is on the right track - sub Zatarain's Jambalaya mix, and they tell you what to add for meat on the box - jambalaya is not a fast dish from scratch.

This worked out really great. Didn't have a can of tomatoes, but had tomato sauce... used hot sausage instead of pepper sauce, OMG it was totally good. Thanks!
