MOCK LASAGNA 
2 lb. ground beef
1 lb. Italian sausage
2 onions, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 1/2 lb. mozzarella cheese, shredded
2 (12 oz.) cartons cottage cheese
4 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
1 c. water
1 1/2 tsp. basil
2 1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. pepper
3 tbsp. parsley flakes
2 (10 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles, broken into bite-size pieces
3 tbsp. oil

Brown ground beef and sausage. Drain. Place in lightly greased crock pot. Add remaining ingredients except noodles and oil. Stir to mix thoroughly. Cook noodles just until tender. Drain and toss in oil. Place in crock pot and fold into meat and cheese mixture. Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
