MOCK LASAGNA CASSEROLE 
1 lb. sausage (pork or turkey)
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. dried basil
1 (7 oz.) pkg. macaroni, cooked and drained
1 1/2 c. cottage cheese
1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

Brown meat, drain fat. Add tomato sauce, water, garlic salt, pepper and basil. Cover, simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

In a 2-quart casserole, layer half each macaroni, cottage cheese, Cheddar cheese and meat sauce. Repeat layers. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes in 350 degree oven.

Serves 6-8.
