Used 10-12 fl. oz. of Coke, mixed in a 18 oz. bottle of Sweet Baby Rays (Original), and some extra SBR's Honey (4-6 oz.) and had nice consistency. I did comptimplate adding some BBQ spice rubs that I use for smoking or even a lil liquid smoke but decided against it.
Just a FYI unless your getting boneless chicken breast for $1.99 OR less, then you should be using a cheaper cut of meat. I am using whole leg quarters. All that was done is rinse and cut at the thigh/leg joint. Started @ 6am on "low" and will be ready once I get home.
I suspect it to be "saucy" but with things that have sugar (soda and BBQ sauce), you can't have too little. Also once tender and "falling off the bone" I will de-bone, and put back into sauce to get a good final coat.
Served with Bush's Grilling beans, on potato bread buns!
