CROCK-POT APPLE BUTTER | |
1/3 c. apple juice or 1/4 c. cider vinegar 3 c. sugar 1/2 c. dark Karo syrup 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp. ground cloves 1/2 tsp. ground allspice (optional) Fill 3-quart crock-pot with peeled, quartered apples (any kind). Add ingredients. Cover crock-pot and cook all night on low. Continue all next day. Use blender or mixer to remove lumps. With lid removed, cook another 1 1/2 to 2 hours on high heat to boil down. You can double recipe. Yields 7 pints. |
