“CHOCOLATE CREAM PIE” IS IN:

CHOCOLATE CREAM PIE 
Baked 8-inch Pie Shell
1 1/8 cups sugar
1/3 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. cornstarch
3/4 tbsp. flour
2 1/4 cups whole milk
2 1/2 squares unsweetened chocolate, chopped
2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt chocolate slightly in microwave.

Mix sugar, salt, cornstarch, flour in saucepan. Slowly stir in milk and melted chocolate. Boil 1 minute over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.

Stir half of mixture into egg yolks, then blend into hot mixture in saucepan. Boil 1 more minute stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Blend in butter, vanilla.

Pour into pre-baked pie shell, and refrigerate for about 2 hours.

Serve as is, or topped with sliced ripe bananas and whipped cream.

just wanted to say this was a great easy recipe! I used 4 squares (1 oz. each) of chocolate and added peanuts. Used Oreo cookie crust. Just follow directions and this is a fast easy well designed dessert!!
