COLLEGE STUDENT'S FUNKY RAMEN NOODLES UNI-CUISINE | |
Ramen Noodles frozen mixed vegetables (peas, broccoli, corn etc.) butter Parmesan cheese 1/4-1/2 teaspoon chicken broth powder (optional) Prepare as many Ramen Noodle packages as servings needed. Bring water to a boil. Add noodles and frozen vegetables in quantities desired. Cook until noodles are soft and vegetables thawed, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Strain noodle mixture and return to pot. Slice butter into noodle mixture; sprinkle broth powder or soup base and stir in well. Top with Parmesan cheese as desired, stirring to combine. May be served accompanied by hardboiled eggs for a well rounded, nutritious meal. Variations: Baby spinach leaves can be added, or stir in a 1/4 can or cooked white beans. Dehydrated vegetables may be used instead of frozen. Save packets of seasonings from fast food meals that went unused to change things up a bit - like chili sauce and hot sauce, half 'n half coffee creamer for a cream of veggies ramen. Season to taste with onion and garlic powder, beef stock and ketchup packets, etc. Add slices of leftover meat or cold cuts like ham or roast beef. Foolproof, fast, cheap, and delicious!
