BANANA BRAN STICKS 
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. whole bran cereal
3/4 c. milk
1 c. mashed bananas
1 egg
1/4 c. cooking oil or melted shortening

Resift flour with sugar, baking powder, soda and salt. Combine bran cereal with milk and let stand until moisture is absorbed. Add mashed banana, egg and oil and mix well. Add sifted ingredients and stir just enough to get it all moistened.

Spoon mixture into greased cornstick (or muffin) pans. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven about 15 minutes, until browned. Good hot or cold.
