APPLE WALNUT COBBLER 
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
4 c. thinly sliced apples
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. butter, melted
1 well beaten egg
1/2 c. evaporated milk

Mix together 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon and 1/2 cup walnuts. Place apples in bottom of greased 8-1/4 x 3/4-inch round ovenware cake dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon mixture.

Sift together dry ingredients. Combine egg, milk, and butter. Add dry ingredients all at once and mix until smooth. Pour over apples. Sprinkle with remaining walnuts.

Bake in slow oven (325°F) about 50 minutes or until done. Cut in wedges. Serve with cinnamon topped whipped cream.

Makes 8 servings.
