BREADED TOMATOES | |
1 c. chopped celery 1/2 c. onion, finely chopped 2 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. flour 3 slices bread, buttered toasted and cut in 1/2 inch cubes 12 oz. can tomatoes, broken up 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt Dash of pepper 2 tsp. prepared mustard Saute celery and onion in butter until tender. Blend in flour. Add tomatoes, sugar, salt, pepper and mustard to celery mixture along with half of bread cubes. Pour into 1 1/2 quart casserole, top with remaining toast. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Serves 8. |
