“FRESH PEACH CRISP OR APPLE CRISP” IS IN:

FRESH PEACH CRISP OR APPLE CRISP 
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 cup butter
10 medium peaches or apples

In a mixing bowl combine oats, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Peel and core peaches or apples; slice and put into a baking dish. Sprinkle oat mixture on top of fruit and bake at 350°F degrees for 40 minutes or until fruit is tender.

I used fresh peaches: considering you are using fresh fruit which does not have syrup or juice like canned fruit; pour 1cup of water with 2 tablespoons of white sugar over the fruit prior to the oat mixture. This will prevent the fruit from withering and drying out.

I have never made any type of "crisp". Since discovering this recipe about 6 weeks ago, I have made it three times! Delicious. And I'm getting better at cutting the butter into the oat mixture.
