SOUTHERN AMBROSIA 
3 to 4 oranges, peeled
1 c. sugar
2 c. coconut (do not use fresh coconut)

Cut the oranges into bite size pieces. This should make about 4 cups. In medium size serving bowl, layer half of the oranges, half of the sugar, and half of the coconut. Repeat.

Note: My mother always added other fruits to her ambrosia. She sometimes added a can of fruit cocktail, drained. If you use the fruit cocktail, substitute it for half of the oranges.
