CORN BREAD 
1 c. cornmeal
2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. lard

Add enough milk for a medium batter. Bake at 350 to 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until toothpick comes clean when inserted in center. Use an 8 inch square pan.
