GRAHAM OR OATMEAL BREAD 
2 heaping c. oatmeal or graham flour
1 mixing spoonful of lard (wooden spoon - heap it up - 3/4 stick of lard)
3/4 c. molasses
1 round tbsp. salt (or sm. handful)
2 c. BOILING water

Let it set for awhile.

Add:

2 c. cold water
2 env. yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c. warm water with heaping tbsp. sugar

Add:

3 heaping c. white flour

Mix up good.

Add:

2 to 3 more heaping c. white flour

When easy to handle, put on flour board and knead it. Put in greased mixing bowl and let rise 3 or 4 hours (must double its size). Put on board - knead down, divide in 4. Knead each one.

Put in greased pans. Let set 3/4 hour. In 1/2 hour, light oven. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes. Later turn down to 400-425 degrees. Bake 25 minutes more.
