GRAHAM DATE BREAD | |
1 1/4 c. unsifted flour 1 individual pack graham crackers, finely crushed (about 1 2/3 c. crumbs) 1 tbsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. sugar 2 eggs 1 c. orange juice 1 (8 oz.) pkg. dates, chopped 1 c. chopped walnuts Combine flour, crumbs, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, butter, sugar, eggs and orange juice in large mixing bowl. Blend at low speed until dry ingredients are moistened. Beat at medium speed 3 minutes. Stir in dates and nuts. Bake in a floured 9"x5"x3" loaf pan, about 65 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool 10 minutes, then remove from pan. Makes 1 (9") loaf. |
