PORK STEAK VEGETABLE BAKE - AS
SIMPLE AS ABC!
 
4 med. potatoes, peeled and cut lengthwise in 1/4 inch slices
1 or 2 lg. carrots, sliced or cut into 1/4 inch slices

B:
4 to 5 pork steaks

C:
1/2 c. water
1/2 envelope onion soup mix (1/4 c.)
2 to 3 tbsp. soy sauce

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare vegetables (a) and put in bottom of large casserole or 12 x 7 1/2 x 2 inch pan. Trim fat (b) from steaks and brown them on both sides.

Combine (c) in small saucepan, bring to a boil. Spoon 1/2 of (c) mixture over vegetables. Add (b) on top. Spoon rest of (c) on top of (b). Cover. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, then, if desired, uncover and bake 10 minute more. Serves 4 to 5.
