Salad:

1 lb. package cole salad mix
2 packages beef ramen noodles
1 cup salted sunflower seeds
1 cup slivered toasted slivered almonds

try it with sesame seeds -- brown them with the almonds and crushed noodles in a stick of melted butter! YUM! And balsamic vinegar!

I made this for a family gathering. It was well received. I really enjoyed it. A little costly with the nuts, but worth it.

I have used this recipe repeatedly since 2009 for holidays and potlucks at work. Without fail, I always have someone approach me and ask me for the recipe. I love the fact that the recipe is so easy and extremely tasty. It compliments almost anything else you'd have on your table. I always get compliments on the crunchiness and people really seem to like the dressing. I think the dressing makes the recipe. Don't be afraid to add your own variations (i.e., green onions, mandarin oranges, pineapple). I use the chicken ramen noodles instead of the beef and add grilled cubed chicken to the mix.
