MAGIC WANDS | |
Great for Halloween! 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips 12 pretzel rods 3 (1 oz. ea.) sq. white chocolate or almond bark (Walmart baking section) red and yellow food coloring assorted sprinkles or jimmies Line baking sheets with waxed paper. Melt semi-sweet chocolate in top of double boiler over hot, not boiling water. Remove from heat. Dip pretzel rods into chocolate to coat about 3/4 of pretzels. Place on prepared baking sheet. Refrigerate until chocolate is firm. Melt white chocolate in top of double boiler over hot, not boiling, water. Stir in food colors to make orange. Remove from heat. Dip coated pretzels into colored chocolate to coat about 1/4 of the pretzel. Place on baking sheet and immediately top with sprinkles or jimmies. Refrigerate until chocolate is firm. For the finishing touch, tie ends with ribbons to resemble magic wands. Makes 12 magic wands. Submitted by: Shawn Hale |
