FRENCH APPLE PIE 
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
6 c. sliced apples

1. Mix sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon in a large bowl.

2. Stir in apples.

3. Pour in pie plate.

4. Sprinkle crumb topping over apples.

5. Bake 50 minutes at 425 degrees. (Cover topping with foil during last 10 minutes.

CRUMB TOPPING:

1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar

1. Mix until crumbly.
