SEA SALT VERY HERBACEOUS COMPOUND BUTTER | |
![]() 1 pound butter, softened, divided 3 cloves garlic, minced 1 small onion, minced 2 tablespoons fresh Italian parsley, chopped 2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped 1 1/2 tablespoons Morton® Sea Salt 1 tablespoon fresh oregano, chopped 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 tablespoon capers, coarsely chopped 1 tablespoon coarsely ground black pepper Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a small frying pan over medium heat. Add garlic and onions. Sauté for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring occasionally until the onions and garlic are translucent and tender but not browned. Remove from heat and transfer to a large bowl. Cool completely. Add remaining softened butter to the bowl followed by the parsley, chives, Morton® Fine Sea Salt, oregano, cilantro, lemon juice, capers and black pepper. Mix well with a fork to combine. Transfer to a sealable container. Use immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 weeks. May also be frozen for up to 3 months. Estimated Times: Preparation - 15 minutes.
