CANDIED ORANGE PEEL 
Remove peel from 4 oranges. Cook, covered, with cold water. Bring to boil and cook slowly until soft; drain. Remove white part with spoon (leave some white) and cut in thin strips.

Put 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup water, 2 tablespoons syrup and peel in saucepan. Cook; peel slowly until clear. Drain if any syrup is left. Cool on plate. Roll in sugar.
