PENN-DUTCH DEEP-DISH CHERRY PIE 
1 pkg. or 1/3 box of graham crackers
1/4 c. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. brown sugar

Mix together and press 1/2 mixture into bottom of deep baking dish. Bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes, then:

1 qt. sour cherries with sugar syrup
2-3 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/3 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter

Cook together, using cornstarch to thicken. When lukewarm, add 2-3 teaspoons of brandy extract and pour into baked shell. Use rest of graham mix on top. Bake for another 10-15 minutes at 400 degrees.
