PEAR PIE DEEP DISH | |
8 to 9 firm pears, peel, core and slice 4 tbsp. all-purpose flour 1/2 c. honey 1 tbsp. brandy or lemon juice 1 tsp. grated lemon rind 3/4 tsp. cinnamon 1/8 tsp. ginger 2 tbsp. butter Pie crust Toss pears with flour and put in 9-inch pie pan. Mix rest of ingredients except butter and pour over pears. Dot with butter. Cover with crust and slit. Bake at 450°F for 10 minutes, and 350°F for 30 minutes. Serve with brandy flavored whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. |
