FRENCH PEAR PIE 
1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
6 c. peeled, sliced pears
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/3 c. light corn syrup
1/3 c. flour
1/3 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. butter

Combine pears and lemon juice; toss gently. Combine sugar, flour and ginger. Add to pears along with corn syrup. Toss gently until mixed well. Spoon into pie shell.

Combine flour and brown sugar in a small bowl. Blend well. Add butter and mix until crumbly. Sprinkle on pie. Bake at 450 degrees F for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F and bake 30 minutes more.
